Shanghai 2015 day 1

IWas very happy to be flying SQ again this time. Yeah yeah SQ is my favourite airline with better service and food. This is our second trip with my in-laws and all three in tow. As usual the number of luggages we have is "astounding". 8 pieces of luggage and 1 pram.

M helping with one of our luggages... ;)

This time round the staff was very nice- dishing out lots and lots of drinks, food, ice-cream. The kids had their freebies. N and M enjoyed their children's meals.

The kids had a little fun before take off.

L and M also manage to get their beauty sleep on the plane. ;)

Me coaxing didi to sleep in the carrier...

Papa looking stylish with the kids headphone...

We reached Shanghai Pudong airport at around 6pm. It was late and dark outside. We had a quick meal at the aurport and headed to take bus #2 from the airport to the residence we were staying at (Le Residence- review in part 2 of the blog). The bus ride took about less than an hour and cost us each RM22  per adult. Kids were free if they sat on our lap. ;)

A trip to Genting - Day 3 (Splash Pool!)

Throughout the Genting trip, we stayed indoors because the outdoor theme park was mostly rides and those "Ti-Kam" counters. This is what the little one enjoyed the most! It's an indoor hot water Splash Pool! This was unplanned and we decided at the snap of our fingers!

Hubby and I each paid RM 10 to get in while the little one got in FOC! The pool was not deep and has 2 slides where you can take a "ride" down. ;)

The little one was originally cautious of the pool and water. But she had lots of fun after a little warm up help from papa who made her totally wet!
Suprisingly she had the courage to play with the water jets!
It's just so much fun!!!
Ending off with a picture of little one with papa and mama!

A trip to Genting - Day 3 (Chin Swee Cave Temple)

Papa planned that we will visit the Chin Swee Cave Temple! So we decided to do it on the last day before we leave Genting for good!!! There is a free shuttle bus which we have to take from First World Hotel to another hotel where another free shuttle will bring us to the temple.

Here we are on the very packed bus! The uncle refuse to turn on the A/C until the bus moved off! Luckily mama got the portable fan and the little one was in sleveless! And she could still smile a little despite the heat...

This is us at the temple. Do not be mistaken, the other girl is my niece who decided to follow us to the temple. :)

Papa is playing with the lens... It was a leisurely walk around the temple.

The little one who is eager to explore and refuse to let us carry her. She was just contented to roam the temple freely. The weather was just beautiful and cool (not cold), it was great to be outdoors!

After some walking around, we decided to take a rest and let the little girl have her lunch. Seperately, we had our lunch at the temple's vegetarian restaurant. The food was nice but costly! One plate cost about RM10 to RM18! But papa and I had the chance to drink the tea that we love (for some reason can't find the tea in Singapore!) and hey! It was equally costly as well!

Running around while waiting for the shuttle to come pick us up!

Ending off Part 1 of the day with a picture of the little one with his favourite papa!

Note: The little one was so exhausted, she dozed off immediately on the shuttle bus on our way back to the hotel. She slept a good 2 hrs (not wanting to wake up aft 2 hrs) at the hotel room. Check out the next blog on the splashing fun she had at the Splash Pool!

A trip to Genting - Day 2

Day 2 was a relaxed day at Genting. We got up quite late that day and did not do much with our little girl. Mama and Papa were however enjoying themselves doing foot reflexology and then going for for a steamboat buffet dinner (erhmm without the little one). Only because nai nai volunteered to look after the little one and yeh yeh (who has the theme park pass) took some rides with the little one!
Breakfast @ First World Cafe: The little one was entertaining herself with the packs of jam...
Some family shots in the morning! :)
Papa and Mama are bored... so take some photos within First World.
Crying and reaching out for the sinful... LOLLY!!!

Taking the Kiddy Rides!!! :)
Yippy!!! Papa and Mama having steamboat while little girl zzz in room with Nai Nai... :p

A trip to Genting - Day 1

We were off to Genting for a 4 day 3 night trip. Mother-in-law had booked a room at First World Hotel and it's going to be my first time in Genting.

Day 1 started bright and early in the morning. We woke up at about 6am to catch the coach to Genting! We later learnt that we should have drove on our own instead. This will give us the flexibility to leave slightly later and of course to make stopovers for meals where necessary.

Lucky for us, the 3 of us had the luxury of occupying the 5 seats at the lower deck!

Little girl took a short nap of about an hour and we stopped over at Yong Peng for breakfast. (PS: The food there is close to horrid and it was a mad rush to feed the little one and myself too!)

Downing one cup of yoghurt is not enough, the little one wants some adult food.

"Say AHHH.... to some 西刀 fishballs"

After one last pit stop for toilet, we finally reached Genting!!! The 2nd part of the ride was pretty horrid because the little one refused her lunch on the bus (Rightfully so since we were turning round and round along the hills on the way up). She cried for pretty long before sleeping in my arms on the bus. *oh well...*

Here is mummy trying to get the little one to finish her lunch (FAIL! she ate only 1/2 a bottle!)

Day 1 ended just like that because Papa was not feeling well and slept the rest of the afternoon away in the room. In the end, little gal screamed her lungs out not wanting to finish her dinner (DOUBLE SIGH from mama...).

Preparing for the beauty zzZZzzz...

Ending off with a family photo with my niece...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Thanks to Angeline, my hubby's fellow teacher, we got an excuse to book a night's stay at a local hotel. The reason was that it was Christmas and we wanted to enjoy the wedding dinner. It was at Changi Village Hotel. Most of the wedding dinners we attended with the little girl always ended early. We had to leave by 9pm and it was really sucky since we did not have enough time to catch up with friends.

We reached the hotel early and we were told that the housekeeping would need 1 hour to clean up a room at the non-smoking wing for us. We took the opportunity to go for a little walk at Changi Point. The afternoon was extremely warm! Our backs were burning from the blazing sun...

Taking photos were in order! And here are some of them...

Here is a family potrait but the little one is more curious of the ice cream...

Little girl playing with mummy's hair!!!

Little girl in the pram, we are going to the BEACH!

Me and little one on the beach...

Playing with sand. The sand was so fine and the wind was so strong. Was so afraid that the sand will get into her eyes... :p

A little potrait of us by Changi point with a happy little girl!

More photos of the smiley girl... Maybe she loves the sun and sea? Or is it just the company of daddy and mummy where she will be all smiles?

Happy walking... endlessly...

Swimming at the Changi Village Hotel...

Little girl trying to crawl out from the pool...

Happy little girl in the pool with hubby... This is the second time she is in a normal pool. Despite taking mouths of water, her love for swimming or water has not waivered...

Out of the water for now and kept warm by towels and of course handsome daddy... :)

The receptionist again... As you can see we un-plugged the telephone line to prevent her from calling for room service or the hotel staff acidentally.

At the wedding... the photo was slightly edited in terms of exposure...

Little girl's new facial expression for in the recent days...

A final photo and goodbye to the lovely cot which little girl slept in. Hey dun be fooled there is actually a bumper mat in the cot! I am impressed... :)

Ending off with my favourite photo taken on Christmas day!
Merry Christmas my darling...
